Terms of Service

The Service

Form owners sign in with Google or Microsoft, create forms, generate share links, and optionally share forms with other people as viewers or editors. Forms and responses are stored in a file in the owner's own Google Drive or OneDrive. The Service keeps a small encrypted account record and the list of shares, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your Google or Microsoft account secure and for all activity under it. Your use of those services remains subject to Google's and Microsoft's own terms. You can disconnect SurveyKeeper at any time from the Account page.

Form owners' responsibilities

If you create forms, you are responsible for them and for the answers you collect. In particular, you agree to:

• tell respondents who you are and how their answers will be used, and obtain any consent the law requires;
• handle, store and delete responses in line with applicable privacy and data-protection laws;
• share forms only with people who should see the responses, and remove access when it is no longer needed.

Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

• collect passwords, payment card or bank details, government ID numbers, or health data;
• impersonate a person or organisation, or run phishing or other deceptive forms;
• send spam, harass people, or collect information from children without the consent required by law;
• break any law, or interfere with, overload or attempt unauthorised access to the Service.

We may disable forms, links or accounts that break these rules.

Respondents

Forms are created and controlled by their owners, not by SurveyKeeper. We do not review forms and are not responsible for their content or for how owners use the answers. Don't submit information you aren't comfortable sharing with the form owner.

Your data

Forms and responses belong to the form owner and live in their file. You are responsible for its accuracy and for keeping your own backups. The Service should not be relied on as an official system of record.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every response will be recorded, or that data will always be preserved.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SurveyKeeper, its developer and its operator will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes lost or corrupted data, lost responses, decisions made based on survey results, unauthorised access by people you shared a form with, and business interruption, even if we were told such damages were possible.

The Service is free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to it is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is zero.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time: disconnect it on the Account page and revoke its access from your Google or Microsoft account settings. We may suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service means you accept the revised terms.
